As the election draws near, I need to make a few things clear.
Anything Roger Marshall and his allies say about Adam Hamilton is a lie.
The GOP is desperately pouring tons of money into Kansas to support Marshall.
Many of the attack ads are paid for by dark money. We’ll never know the source.
Vance and trump have suddenly discovered flyover Kansas and are actually landing here to tell more lies about Adam and his church.
Lies about the lead pastor of my church.
Lies about someone I have known for 40 years.
Item: Adam and the church did not try to shield a sexual predator at a church-sponsored camp.
Item: Adam did not split the United Methodist Church. (Blame leaders of the schism for that. I could name names…)
Looking in the mirror and projecting what he sees on someone else, trump says Adam “openly mocks Jesus.” I know who mocks who.
Speaking of mockery, Ty Masterson wants to be governor of Kansas. The fat cats would love that. The rest of us would suffer greatly.
Speaking of mockery, trump tried to use the Social Security system to bribe Linda and I to support him. We rounded the amount up 20 bucks and sent it to Adam’s campaign.
For the record, I don’t see Adam in person very often because I don’t often worship at the Leawood campus of Resurrection. I’m part of Resurrection Spring Hill, one of Resurrection’s eight outlying locations.
If my location pastor ever runs for anything, I’ll have the same feeling that I have about Adam running for the Senate. I hope he wins, but I know that if he does, his relation to the church will change dramatically, and I’m not happy about that.
